Kevin Durant's seventh signature shoe has already been released with a Fourth of July colorway, but the 35K Degrees colorway (known to some as the DMV) is the model that has been teased since the KD VII was announced. The initial set of colorways for the KD VII was inspired by lightening and its significance to the OKC Thunder MVP. Nike has built even more performance enhancing tech into this low-top basketball kick. Mango Hyperposite on the heel adds protection while the mesh on the toe box and sides allows for ventilation and shows off the Flywire support system that keeps this sneaker lightweight. Nike Zoom units in the heel and forefoot cushion impacts, and a midfoot strap gives wearers extra lockdown and stability. Gray on the midsole and strap add a minimalist contrast the the vibrant green on the outsole without outshining the bright orange on the upper. City Gear will have the KD VII "35K Degrees" Saturday, July 12, at $150 for men and $115 for grade schoolers.
