Store Manager

Locations: 

City Gear # 86 - Atlanta, GA - Store Manager

Reports to: District Manager

City Gear Store Manager is responsible for the overall supervision and management of the entire store which includes bus is not limited to leading a dynamic, customer service oriented team, creating a “best in class” shopping experience for all City Gear customers, achieving store sales goals and compliance on all store operational procedures, including payroll and shrink reduction. The ultimate goal of the store manager is to develop a promotable team and position yourself for promotion opportunities.


Responsibilities:

  • Recruit and hire a diverse, customer service oriented sales team.
  • Train, coach and develop staff in providing a “best in class” shopping experience and driving overall sales results.
  • Foster a cohesive, team-oriented environment.
  • Identify training needs of individual team members and execute training plan accordingly.
  • Continually recruit ahead of needs to facilitate promoting from within and building bench strength.
  • Train entire staff on operational excellence and maintain an organized and orderly work environment.
  • Manage payroll through effective scheduling both to the needs of the business and to deter shrink.

  • Demonstrate ability to facilitate learning at all levels.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to execute objectives related to payroll, visual presentations and shrink reduction.
  • College degree preferred but not required.

Visual Merchandising Manager

Locations:

Regional Visual Merchandise Manager (South Region)

Reports to: District Manager

Visual merchandising team members contribute to the advertising, marketing, and sales efforts of a retail location by designing, developing and taking charge of the visual look of the store and its merchandise. As a member of the in-store merchandising team, you will be executing merchandising strategies by creating and maintaining visual displays in the store windows and on the sales floor. You will also contribute to the profitability of the store with your merchandise handling, replenishment, and inventory control efforts. Must reside within the assigned district.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the image and style of City Gear is projected at all times through visual presentation.
  • Consistently executes task assigned without error.
  • Create and or maintain a compelling presentation of merchandise that will help stimulate sales activity.
  • Verify and maintain the functionality of fixtures, signage, lights and equipment.
  • Communicate key information to store staff regarding merchandising initiatives.
  • Train store personnel on design concepts, visual display standards, and proper maintenance.
  • Proactively participates in inventory management functions contributing to overall merchandising efforts.
  • Facilitate stock transfers, ticket and re-tickets and execute markdowns.
  • Initiate store transfers as a part of your inventory control initiative.
  • Maintain awareness and communicate of potential loss prevention issues.

Requirements:

  • Prior visual merchandising experience is required.

City Gear Inventory Control Manager is responsible for supervising all activities related to inventory control. The main objective is to ensure all product is properly stocked, prices labeled. shipped and received in order to meet the needs of the customers and store. Additional responsibilites include contributing to the profitability of the store by executing all company inventory control efforts.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for receiving and shipping of merchandise ensuring all items are properly accounted for by resolving and communitcaiting issues found.
  • Reconciliation of store-to-store transfers by monitering the report weekly.
  • Pull and complete transfer request in a timely fashion.
  • Backroom organization and management.
  • Develop a plan of action to control and stock product.
  • Ensure all markdowns are completed timely and accurately throughout the store.
  • Ensure all footwear is on display and priced correctly.
  • Review and follow up on all ASN Vouchers communitcating with management daily any unrecieved items according to company standards.
  • Complete Return to Vendor requests.
  • Responsible for other responsibilities/duties assigned by store manager including sales and customer service.

Required Skills:

District Manager

Reports To: Regional Manager

As a District Manager for City Gear, you will ensure the execution of our company plans while demonstrating, teaching and enforcing our City Gear culture and mission. You must be organized, focused and people oriented. You will focus on overseeing our customer service regulations as well as coaching and team building, and administrative duties. As the District Manager, you will travel to store locations to ensure these factors are upheld.

Responsibilities:

  • Executes all directives timely and with accuracy.
  • Validates and enforces consistency across all locations in the management of company policy and procedures including but not limited to processing shipment, merchandising, pricing, cleanliness and safety standards.
  • Address all facilities issues in a timely manner.
  • Able to perform and train employees on every function in the building.
  • Monitors for compliance on all policies, procedures and programs.
  • Actively participates in staffing to include recruiting, interviewing, hiring and training.
  • Validates all scheduling directives and monitors attendance, reporting directions and counseling.

MIS Support Analyst II

Locations:

SSC- Memphis, TN- MIS Support Analyst II

Reports To: Support Supervisor/Director, IT

City Gear is looking for a MIS Support Analyst II at its Store Support Center (SSC) located in Memphis, TN. The successful candidate will be actively involved in supporting information technology infrastructure at the SSC and retail store locations.

Responsibilities:

  • Primary focus on performing end-user support in the use of applications.
  • Provide systems administration, maintain and support Point of Sales (POS) applications in support of store operations and the SSC.
  • Monitor, prioritize and resolve incidents, changes and service requests.
  • Provide support to primary applications, user workstations, hardware and network infastructure.
  • Preperation and deployment of store hardware and software.
  • Testing and implementation of enhancements to existing to existing applicaitons working with business users anad development partners.
  • Testing and implementation of operational reports working with business users company wide.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Must reside or relocate to within commute distance of Memphis, TN.
  • Knowledge of hardware, printers/scanners, and networking.

Associate Buyer

Locations:

Reports To: Buyer/General Merchandising Manager (GMM)

Being a City Gear Associate Buyer means helping and assisting the buyer in all the buying activity matters. The overall objective is to ensure the flow of merchandise into the business through close dialogue with retail operations and timely allocations.

 Responsibilities:

  • Support Buyer on all day to day functions of the department.
  • Generates, maintains and follows through on all Purcchase Orders.
  • Monitors on-order and manages weekly receipt flow into DC.
  • Assist in management of OTB.
  • Partners with Allocation, Marketing and Visual teams to ensure correct execution of assortments in store.
  • Request and manages samples for fittings, photo shoots, and meetings.
  • Ensures quality control of all orders, creates recaps and reports as needed.
  • Maintains positive working relationships with vendors and internal partners.

Requirements:

  • College graduate preferred.
  • Must reside in or relocate to Memphis.
  • Proficient in the use of Excel, MS Word and ability to use common office equipment.
