Just in time for Air Max Day festivities, Nike is updating the legendary Air Max lineage, originally conceived by acclaimed designer Tinker Hatfield in 1987, with the newest in sneaker tech and a vivid thermal-mapping inspired colorway for the Nike Kids Air Max 2016 ‘Heat Map’ (847655-400), released 03/26/16. Constructed of engineered mesh to maximize forefoot ventilation without sacrificing a fully secured fit, the ultra-lightweight upper features a rippled, down baffle design inspired by Nike Aeroloft clothing tech. The ‘Heat Map’ colorway splashes the upper in a lively spectrum of reds, yellows, blues, and greens, and lines the full-length Max Air unit in warm orange and bold black. FlyWire cables integrate with the lacing system to provide on-the-fly support and guarantee comprehensive, full-foot lockdown. The sculpted Cushlon midsole is accented with special flex grooves to deliver natural forefoot flexure, and the full-length, visible Max Air unit ensures cushioned comfort and an ultra-smooth footstrike. The clear rubber outsole is finished with a unique waffle grip pattern for increased traction. For sizing information, be sure to check our Size Chart. Looking for a store near you?
