Share This Page: Air Jordan 13 Low "Bred" The 1998 run of the Bulls capped off in a playoffs victory which resulted in their second 3-peat of championships. The Air Jordan 13 “Playoffs” were the last player exclusive sneakers Michael Jordan wore during those 1998 NBA Playoffs, and it’s making its return in a low-top with the Air Jordan 13 Low “Bred.” MJ’s playstyle inspired thoughts of a black panther in Tinker Hatfield’s mind, and he designed the AJ 13 with the black cat’s power and stealth. To top off the panther theme, Hatfield added a cat-eye inspired hologram, and designed the sole of the sneaker to resemble a panther’s paw. Interestingly, Jordan’s friends nicknamed MJ the “black cat.” The low “Bred” silhouette sports an all-black leather upper with hints of University Red. The red Jumpman on the tongue, “JORDAN” lettering, inner lining and outsole pop in contrast with the black upper and white midsole. A metallic Jumpman graces the heel, and the cat-eye hologram has moved from the heel to the outsole. If you look close, you can see the number 23, a basketball, and the Jumpman logo inside the hologram. These sneakers have a Zoom Air unit in the forefoot and heel, and the paw-pattern provides excellent traction even during your hardest game. The Air Jordan 13 Low “Bred” drops June 13 in stores only, so check with you local City Gear to lock down a pair in Men’s at $160 and grade schooler’s at $120.
