Nike Air Max 95 Ultra

The Nike Air Max 95, with its iconic design based on human anatomy, is being reimagined with the sneaker technology of today. The lightweight woven Jacquard upper still embodies the human elements from the OG Air Max 95’s. The redesigned silhouette sports interlaced Flywire for increased stability, and it makes this 20-year-old sneaker have a 2015 feel to it. The midsole is the biggest change to these kicks. Nike carved out the midsole, and inserted a full-length Zoom Air unit for maximum cushioning. The outsole is semi-translucent grey with redesigned tread for better traction.

The Nike Air Max 95 Ultra is releasing in four different colorways. Clearly a throwback to the original 95’s, the “Neon” takes the vibrant neon accents from the 95 originals. The neon hits the upper, tongue, and interlaced Flywire. Black accents are stitched into the upper with the neon, and grey accents color the tongue and heel. The heel is predominately black with hints on neon illuminating the Zoom Air unit.

The next release of this remastered silhouette is the dark grey and black rendition. Retaining the same altered anatomy of the Air Max 95 Ultra, this sneaker substitutes neon for dark grey. The dark grey is woven into the upper and interlaced Flywire. Black accents are worked into the upper, Flywire, and tongue. The midsole and outsole are dressed in black.

A navy version of these kicks makes its appearance as well. Navy appears in the Flywire and the upper along with blue and black hints. The white tongue, liner, and laces give the sneaker a clean look. Also the midsole is white with blue Zoom Air Units.

Lastly the silhouette comes in a white and grey colorway. Dark grey and black cover the majority of the woven upper, and the tongue and the Flywire adds hits of light grey. The laces, liner and midsole are white and the midsole houses dark grey Zoom Air units.

The Nike Air Max 95 Ultra will be available online and in stores so check with your local City Gear for details. They will all be in Men’s for $185 separately. Cop a pair of this redesigned classic before they are gone.
