Nike KD 7 "Aunt Pearl"

The Nike KD 7 "Aunt Pearl" is inspired by KD's very own Aunt Pearl, who passed away after battling lung cancer. Durant promised himself that he would keep her memory alive because she was influential in molding him in to the man he is today. The silhouette is a symbol of an angel with a mostly white mesh and Hyperposite upper, which is the official color of lung cancer awareness. The kick also has hits of pink on the breast cancer symbol, which is stitched on the heel tab, and hits on the Flywire support. The outsole is also pink and has the words Kay Yow Cancer Fund printed on it, which is a charity committed to fight against women's cancers. The gold Swoosh logos have a wing-like pattern through them which add to the already angelic design. The midfoot strap also resembles a wing and on the inside of it says, "In memory of Aunt Pearl, who inspired us all to continue the fight for a cure."

The KD7 "Aunt Pearl" releases Thursday, February 18, at $170 in men's sizes. Cop your pair online at or at your local City Gear.
