Team USA Looks Dominant

Team USA has played in three exhibition games between July 22 and July 26. In the three games, the USA squad has won by a combined total of 136 points, which means they are winning by an average of 45 points.

In the team’s first game, the Olympic team took on Argentina’s National Team that features a few NBA players like Manu Ginobili and Luis Scola. The two teams competed in Las Vegas.

The US National Team took an 18-point lead at the end of the first quarter and pushed it to 23 by halftime. Led by Kevin Durant, Carmelo Anthony and DeMarcus Cousins, Team USA won by 37 points.

The team’s next two exhibition games came against China. Neither of those games were any closer than the blowout of Argentina.

In the first game played in LA at Staples Center, Team USA jumped out to 26-point lead at half behind KD and Klay Thompson. The national team ended up beating China by 49 points. Once again, a complete blowout victory.

The second game against China was played in Oracle Arena. KD walked out to the most cheers he’s ever heard for him in the Bay Area after recently signing with the Golden State Warriors.

Before the tip, Kyrie Irving told KD that he was giving him the ball on the first possession and that’s exactly what Irving did. KD took the first shot of the game and knocked down a three-pointer. He then went on to score the team’s first 10 points.

Team USA jumped out to a huge lead in the first half and end up winning 107-57. The squad was led by a double-double from DeMarcus Cousins and a 20-point game by Carmelo.

Every player has played and scored in the first three exhibition games.

Team USA has two more tune up games before heading off to Rio. The team faces Venezuela on July 29, and takes on Nigeria on August 1.

Once the games start in Rio, Team USA will face China (August 6) once again, Venezuela (August 8), Australia (August 10), Serbia (August 12) and France (August 14).

Projections and experts expect the USA to take home once again with such a loaded and experienced squad.
