Brand Spotlight: Puma

Puma SE, officially branded as PUMA, produces athletic and casual footwear as well as sports kits. The company is based in Herzogenaurach, Germany,  where it was founded by Rudolf Dassler in 1948. Originally, Rudolf and his younger brother Adolf worked together in Adolf’s shoe factory, but the two split the company. Adolf went on to form adidas, while Rudolf formed Ruda, which was later changed to Puma. Puma sponsors a wide variety of sports teams, including cricket teams, rugby unions, golf players, and track and field athletes, including Usain Bollt, regarded as the fastest man alive. Pumas are also popular in the fashion world, and performers like Gwen Stefani and Ashley Tisdale are often seen sporting a pair of Pumas.
