Brand Spotlight: Stance Socks

Stance Socks was created in 2009 by entrepreneurs Rick Alden, founder of Skullcandy, and Jerff Kearl. As one of the first companies to focus exclusively on graphic socks, Stance has helped showcase the value in socks as an accessory with sneakers. While they primarily create tube socks for casual wear, the brand is branching out to create no-show socks for women and performance based socks for golf, basketball and, in the future, snowboarders. Stance Socks often has collaborative projects with celebrities like musicians and athletes. Dwyane Wade of the Miami Heat was the first basketball player to have his own line of socks that he created with Stance. Singer and songwriter Santigold also had her own line of socks, and one pair had part of sales proceeds go to Charity Water. The designs of Stance Socks range from simple solids and stripes to wild, abstract and colorful graphics that can coordinate with nearly outfit.
