City Gear Sole School

City Gear is a proud member of the communities we serve. In an effort to strengthen our bond within these communities, we have established the City Gear Sole School program. City Gear will partner with neighborhood schools to participate with that school in a series of possible programs.

Academic Excellence - City Gear would provide students who achieve A's in Math, Science, and English to receive up to a $25 merchandise credit to City Gear.

City Gear Spirit Scholarship - City Gear, with the help of school administrations, would select up to 5 students who participate in multiple extracurricular activities, and maintain an honor roll status to receive a $1,000 scholarship. *This is not from each school, but from all City Gear Sole Schools.

Employment Program – City Gear would establish an employment program to hire students as part time associates. Must be 16 years of age or older.

Executive Presentations – Members of City Gear’s management team, City Gear’s CEO, or executives with some of our business partners would give presentations to the student body regarding opportunities in the fashion and retail industry.

Focus Groups – City Gear would meet with a select group of students twice a year to participate in focus groups regarding our product selection.

Coupon Program – City Gear would pass out coupons at agreed upon school events throughout the year.

Adopt a Team – City Gear would donate basketball shoes to the boys’ varsity basketball team. City Gear will also contribute an additional $1,000 to be used on equipment, apparel, or other needs. Other school basketball teams would be eligible for a bulk discount. City Gear would like to display a City Gear Sole School banner in the gymnasium.
