Air Jordan 1 Retro High The Return “Gym Red” During the 1985/1986 season, Michael Jordan suffered a foot injury, but he was back in time for the push to the playoffs. MJ had trouble deciding what shoe to ball in, because the AJ 2 offered more cushion and support, but the AJ 1 was the sneaker he favored. To avoid having Jordan make a decision, Nike created the Air Jordan 1 High The Return. This silhouette sported the upper of the AJ 1 which sat on the sole of the AJ 2. This retro release comes dressed in the classic black and red color way. The Chicago Bulls colors drape the leather upper, and the sneaker comes with red laces and classic Nike Air logo on the tongue. The AJ 1 upper sits on the AJ 2 white midsole and gym red outsole giving it the Air Jordan 1.5 look.
