The Air Uptempo earned its place in sneakerdom by being the signature kick of NBA superstar Scittie Pippen. It was designed by Wilson Smitty in the early 90's and immediaely took off for its bold lettering and unique design.

These shoes made a statement. I LOVED wearing them. And now they're back. @nikebasketball

Although this unique off teal color is no stranger for Nike, the Nike Air More Uptempo has the best aesthetic for this unusual vibrant hue. Many have compared Nike's use of teal & white to that of by @TiffanyandCo signature jewelry box color, the aqua tone intertwines urban-wear necessities with essential privileged luxuries. Though Nike is known to get inspiration from all direction, the colorway brings a sense of elevated class necessary to any young sneakerhead looking to stand out.

Traveling the entire sidewall of the shoe, the classic ‘Air’ branding spills down to the sturdy damage-resistant rubber outsole, and wraps around the heel for definitively bold contrast. The outsole features a slanted traction pattern for optimal surface grip.
