Kanye West’s extremely limited Yeezy line has put a huge spotlight on adidas, but Pharrell Williams’ partnership with the brand has brought his style to people of all ages in the form of clothing and the adidas Superstar.

Pharrell declared 2015 the year of the Superstar, and adidas ran with it. He collaborated with them on 50 different, color-saturated Superstars, and they flew of the shelves. Earlier this year, adidas announced that they sold 15 million pairs of Superstar sneakers in 2015.

Appearing on TV and in live shows wearing his collabs with adidas greatly boosted the awareness for the brand and for Pharrell himself. His tonal sneakers became a huge hit with kids and parents alike driving the brand’s appeal worldwide. The pop icon also released a line of apparel with adidas featuring some of their classic branding and his vibrant influence.

Kanye and Pusha T might be all the talk with sneakerheads and hype beasts, but Pharrell undoubtedly made an impact on sneaker and fashion culture.
