Share This Page: Sneaker Spotlight: Air Jordan Retro 3 'Charity Game' The Air Jordan 3 has always been one of the highest regarded Air Jordan's in the entire line, and Jordan Brand knows that. Since the release of the Jordan 3 'Tinker' earlier this year, Jordan 3 mania is at a level it hasn’t been in since Jordan leapt from the free throw line in the dunk contest in 1988. This new Jordan 3 is inspired by Michael Jordan’s appearance at Magic Johnson’s Midsummer Night’s Magic Charity Game in 1988. That night Jordan was his usual self, dropping a dazzling 54 points in front of the Los Angeles crowd. The colorway of the shoe is inspired by the uniforms donned by Jordan and his teammates during the charity exhibition. Though the shoe may be given the title "Charity Game" these kicks don't play around. The sneakers are dressed in premium tumbled leather and sport a Sail, Sport Royal, and Fire Red color scheme invoking a patriotic feel that’s bolstered by the star spangled liner of the shoes. The tongue features Michael Jordan’s signature to complete the classic vibes. Of course, it wouldn’t be a pair of 3s without the legendary elephant print on the toes and heels. These kicks drop just in time for the Fourth of July celebrations. Are these a must cop? Get the Air Jordan Retro 3 'Charity Game' on Saturday 6/30 online and in-stores.
