Share This Page: This Week In Shoes: Jordan Son Of Mars Low, Air Pippen, Air Revolution (9/14) As we get into the middle of our September releases, it's important to remember that some of the best things happen to sneakerheads in the middle of the month. Namely, we've got one of the freshest new Jordan Son of Mars models we've seen in a long time coming in this week, a rare new Hyperflight Premium model making its way overseas from its recent Asia-exclusive release, and brand new colorways of fan favorite such as the Air Revolution and Air Force 1. They all launch this Saturday, so start your weekend battle plan here by reading ahead. Jordan Son of Mars Low - "Born Warrior" We've got a fresh new Jordan release kicking things off this weekend. The Jordan Son of Mars Low (580603-607) is set to re-release in a never-before-seen Red & University Gold colorway, aptly titled "Born Warrior." This colorway sports a look that seems inspired by the classic Air Jordan line, and features a unique, speckled traction design along the midsole, along with elephant print across the heel. Cop this pair on the official launch date, Saturday, September 14, for $140in select City Gear stores (also available in Grade School, Preschool and Toddler sizes for lower prices!) Air Pippen - Flash Lime/Anthracite Nike is certainly eager to roll out new editions of the Air Pippen 1, and we don't blame them. This new Air Pippen 1 Retro model (325001-002) features a subtle blend of black and anthracite, complimented by a neon green outsole that compliments the signature Nike Air unit. Note the harder to catch details such as the uniquely textured wavy design across the midsole, and the neon green Nike Swoosh providing flair to the upper. You can get this colorway in select City Gear stores and online beginning this Saturday, September 14, at $170. Zoom Hyperflight Premium - Shark This Saturday marks the release of an all new design in the "Premium" label of Nike's Zoom Hyperflight series, with the Hyperflight Premium "Shark" (587561-400) bringing it down a notch with a more subtle, understated color scheme than recent beast-model Hyperflights such as August's controversial Tiger. The Shark features a hybrid of Dark Armory and Gamma Blue, with an authentic gradient effect that draws the eye down across the upper toward the accented outsole. You can cop these premium shoes in select City Gear stores and online beginning Saturday, September 14 for the low launch price of $150. Nike Air Revolution - Safari This new Air Revolution colorway features a blend of Wolf Grey and University Gold, working together to highlight the unique "Safari" (599462-102) pattern across the shoe's midsole. The contrast between the University Gold and Safari pattern are interesting, as the shoe maintains a clean, organized design while sporting the attention-grabbing quality of a much flashier shoe. Pick this one up in stores and online this Saturday, September 14 for $135. Air Force 1 - Armory Navy/White Finally, what would a release weekend be without a fresh new Air Force 1 colorway to fuel your sneakerhead madness? This mix of Armory Navy and Primary White (488298-419) gives the classic shoe an understated look without appearing too plain, and you can pick it up along with the rest of these releases beginning Saturday, September 14, in select City Gear stores and online at $90.
