Nike Air Vapormax Flyknit 2 'Volt' - 3/5/19 - 942842-701

Nike Air Vapormax

The decision to cop a new pair of Nikes isn’t one that should be left up in the air. In order to celebrate the legacy of Nike’s famous Max Air units, a new player has glided onto the scene, forever changing the way we look at the relationship between comfort and performance. A team of determined Nike designers wanted to build a shoe that could recreate the sensation of running on air and after 15 remodels, they were victorious when the Nike Air Vapormax Flyknit 2 (942842-701) was born. After taking a total of 7 years to complete, these gravity-defying kicks definitely didn’t appear out of thin air. Extremely flexible Flyknit covers the uppers for stretchy breathable support with heel overlays for added structure. But underneath is where the real magic is. The ultra-light uppers attach directly to swollen rubber pods without interference by a pesky midsole. These revolutionary pods utilize the air as effectively as possible, mimicking engine pistons that apply and release pressure in every step to give you that soft springy bounceback. The decision to feature the translucent underfoot wasn’t easy but it has marked a turning point in the Air Max collection and acts as a breath of fresh air for those looking for something a little more contemporary and innovative.

The Nike Air Vapormax Flyknit 2 'Volt' will be available Tuesday, March 4th, in stores and online. They will be in men's sizes for $190.
